It's been another big weekend for 'The Chix' with a road trip to Toowoomba. We left the Sunny coast on Saturday & made our way down the Bruce and out onto the Warrego Hwy to arrive at the Wilsonton Hotel in the late arvo. We checked into our digs and got straight in to setting up in the Sports Bar where the Toowoomba Tigers AFL team were celebrating a huge win.
As always it was just a dream working with our AT Blackbird system, it just makes life so easy..... it's an absolute joy to play through.
After tucking into some fine fare from the Wilsonton Bistro, we downed our traditional tequilla shots and fired up the first set at 9pm.
It was lovely to catch up with Stuart and his family after so many years. Stuart once booked the Chix for a gig at the Baseq Toowoomba branch way back in the 90's, which was a gig we remembered fondly.
Big thanks to all who attended, we loved bringing The Chix brand of Blues and Soul to a new audience. See ya'll again soon.
