We had a fabulous night last night at the Morrison Hotel. Thanks to everyone who came out and had fun with us, we made some lovely new friends and caught up with a few old.
This was another opportunity to take out our amazing Blackbird P.A system and man was she humming last night!! What an incredible system it is......so clean and clear, i actually had patrons asking me what i'd done differently and comment they could hear every vocal nuance that i sang!! Consequently i got a lot of lovely compliments all night and it was just a joy to sing through.
The other out of the usual experience for the night was that i took my oldest guitar with me.....A beautiful 1970's era Fender Telecaster that i've had repainted purple along the way. I do love that old girl, but rarely take her out these days due to the sheer weight of her. So she only normally gets a run if im doing a 30 -45 min set. But thought i'd take her as my spare for the night and play most of the gig on my light weight Gibson BluesHawk. But i decided to start the night with the Tele and loved her so much i couldn't put her down....played all 3 sets with her tonight and loved it.
