Well our first gig back after our month long theatre project....... It was great to cut loose & shake the rafters of Ricks Garage with some 'Chix' style hot Blues.
And it was so heartwarming to see so many people that discovered us through the Musical, show up to our gig as well as the regulars who always come to support us in Palmwoods. It always makes my heart sing to see the dance floor brimming and tonight was no exception. The staff at Ricks are always so lovely, they take great care of us, which in this industry is not something that always happens!
We had a small hiccup in the first set when just as i was setting up a bit of a comedic moment, a lady asked me to inquire over the mic if there is a doctor in the house! That was a quick mood changer.... there was no Dr present, but many who had some nursing or first aid experience jumped up to lend their assistance to a fellow who had turned all shades of grey!! Anyway i'm happy to report he felt well enough to cancel the ambulance and head out to the beer garden and continue his evening.
But all in all we had a fun night and so did all those who joined us. We're on the final run home to Xmas now only 2 public gigs to go!
