Maleny Music Festival has such a beautiful vibe like the good ol' festival days! For those who don't know, Maleny Festival was the beautiful nurturing Mother that gave birth to what is now the Woodford Folk Festival!! Set in this wonderful hinterland community the organisers have set about curating a wonderful and diverse program highlighting so much local talent and introducing us to some acts from further afield that we may not have encountered. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing some of my favourites and some of the acts that have peaked my interest on FB over the past few years. The Red Stage is a home concert music venue in a lovely garden setting at Kara-Mia's Mosaics Gallery on Macleay Island. They host events every couple of months during the cooler seasons. The Red Stage resident band is the wonderful 'ShapeShifter' who open at each event followed by the feature act for 2hrs in their beautiful garden setting. There's Always a lively audience who are encouraged to freely express themselves in dance and share the picnic lunch they bring, whilst listening to the music.
